This infographic from the Wall Street Journal captured the typical work week of a Chief Executive Officer in November of 2009. Fast forward to 2012 and “answering e-mails” would surely bite into the time-starved CEO’s work week. Nonetheless, I suspect meetings at 18 hours a week isn’t a declining trend. Meetings can be a necessary evil for every leader; meetings can also be the catalyst to advance the strategic agenda.
