I began volunteering in Haiti in 2007, and moved to Léogane in 2010 to begin my work with GOALS. This is especially true following the January 12, 2010 earthquake that killed 230,000-300,000 people. Parts of Haiti have achieved remarkable progress in their recovery since 2010.

I began traveling to Haiti as a volunteer in 2007 and moved here in 2010 to launch an organization called GOALS. I don’t have internet on my phone, don’t work on projects late at night or on weekends, and almost always take a real lunch hour. Mostly this has to do with living in Haiti.
