The 2014 DHL Global Connectedness Index that one of us (Ghemawat) prepares with Steven Altman, and that was released on November 3, indicates that global connectedness started to deepen again in 2013 after its recovery stalled in 2012. Perhaps these cutbacks are a response to overshooting earlier on because of “ globaloney.”
