It seems that there’s a model for everything. A model home, toy models, and more. But why do we have models? It’s simple. A model is an example of something that is or could be. This could be a model of a Vought F4U-1A from World War 2. It could be the luxury home you’ve been drooling over. Or it could be a, drumroll please, model life.

I was recently reading an excerpt from John Maxwell’s book Developing the Leader Within You. In one of the chapters, he writes about the difference between image-building and integrity-building. These questions really struck me. I believe integrity is the key to being a great leader. The outward appearance, looking good, and other actions aren’t what make a leader.

Our tasks can seem so daunting. We’ve got to clean the whole house. The financial statements must be completed. Or we have to lose 40 pounds. Wow… When you think about the whole, the issues before us seem so monumental. We don’t know how we’re going to get things done. Let me tell you. You can get things done by doing just a little.
