Social Nation - CEO Blog - Time Leadership

CEO Blog

CEO Blog - Time Leadership Friday, November 26, 2010 Social Nation I ran the 4 th annual Turkey trot in Huntington yesterday. Great weather. 40 degrees at the start. It was a hilly 4 mile course. My time was 29:58 which was good since my goal was 30 minutes. Then I celebrated US Thanksgiving with friends. I certainly have a lot to be thankful for. I lead a charmed life.

The First 30 Days as CEO

CEO Blog

It seems presumptuous for me to post "advice" but a friend is likely taking on a new CEO role and I have been thinking about the best 90 day plan. The first 30 days of a 90 day plan in a new leadership role seems obvious to me. They are "Listen and Learn". Regardless of background and experience, there will still be lots to learn. Some of the things to focus on learning: 1 - Peoples names.

The 1% Solution - How to make your next 30 Days the Best Ever by Tom Connellan.

Just blowing and digging out. The RuMe bags I gave for Christmas went over well. Good blog entry on them. I read an awesome and inspiring book - Wiki Brands - Reinventing Your Company in a Customer-driven Marketplace by Sean Moffitt and Mike Dover.

10 Book Reviews in 10 Days

CEO Blog

CEO Blog - Time Leadership Sunday, December 26, 2010 10 Book Reviews in 10 Days There is a nasty storm going on outside. Normally I would say a great one but it caused the cancellation of my kids flights to NY so this one is nasty. I was so looking forward to seeing them. I am way behind in my book reviews (not my reading - just my reviews). Stormy weather is a great time to stay in an "book report".

CEO Blog - Time Leadership Friday, December 17, 2010 Do and Grow Rich First a holiday coupon for my readers. Go to [link] and use ESTILL as the coupon code to get 10% off. I love Napoleon Hill’s classic book “ Think and Grow Rich.” I sometimes see people who like the idea of thinking just makes it happen. In practice, I think doing helps. There is always a balance between thinking(planning) and doing.
