They might have been a quote, but I have a feeling that they were from a moment of epiphany. If you are paying attention. We are masters of distraction. It is easy to go through every day, doing the same thing as yesterday, floating through our existence.

Yesterday, I found the most perfect diagram. It is in this book I’m reading: Launching a Leadership Revolution by Chris Brady and Orrin Woodward. According to this author, we are either heading toward dreams or mediocrity. Imagine a two-lane highway. When I learned to drive in Central Oregon, we had narrow roads (compared to the highways we drive on now).

Have you noticed the one thing that seems to be playing over and over again in movies and books lately? People want their life to matter! This is particularly prevalent in teen media. I’ve been reading a lot of books and watching a lot of movies/TV with my teens this year. Throughout teen literature & other genre, there is an overarching theme – the desire to have an identity.
