Years ago when I started my leadership and management blog, I posted the question “ What’s The First Leadership Book You Would Give To a New Manager ?” That question generated 603 comments and 690 book recommendations. Some people suggested more than one book. Covey and John C. Maxwell each have two books in the Top 20.

For years I’ve been asked for book recommendations. When I joined the workforce, I quickly started noticing positive and negative organizational dynamics I had “seen” before in the books – and I knew what needed to change. And the right book at the right time can make an incredible difference.
