There can be a strange desire to increase speed when driving through life's construction zones. It may be produced by a desire to get the frustrating experience behind us as quickly as possible but that is precisely the time when it makes sense to slow down.
That desire for speed may complicate or prolong the experience. It may seem counter-intuitive to take additional time.
And yet that is what we need to remember during a crisis. Stop the bleeding, of course, but then be methodical.
Knowing that is one thing; remembering it is another.
