It wasn’t the childhood Sunday school picture I had in my memory, where a sweet little baby is cooing in a basket floating behind some grass along a quiet river. (I added the bold, of course.). Moses was crying. Somehow, I’ve always missed that. It was a crying baby. Moses was upset. Probably hungry.
