A few weeks ago, Udo Telaar contacted me and said that he had read “Managing Online Forums” and asked if it would be alright if he distributed a German translation of the downloadable templates I offer on the book’s website.

In short, I loved the idea and we worked together to ensure that they were properly translated and that all details were taken care of. Once we were both happy with it, he posted them on his blog and, at this moment, that is the only place that you can find them. I’ll add them to the book website soon, as well, but wanted to give him the exclusive for a little while. Thanks again, Udo!

The art of online community and forums management isn’t something that only happens in English-speaking countries – it is international and the concepts discussed in the book can be beneficial to you, no matter where you live or what language you speak. Good management strategy is good management strategy. When I wrote the book, I knew (or, at least, hoped) that it would be appreciated by people around the world.

I also had hoped that it might eventually be picked up by other publishers for translation (wink, wink) and release in other countries. That has not happened, but what is much easier to do is to release translated editions of these downloadable templates.

So, what I would like to do is to put out a call to anyone who would like to translate the templates to a different language. If you want to do so, I’d love to work with you. It is important that you are able to translate them with excellent grammar and great attention to detail, as I want it to be well done and professional, be able to talk with me about adjustments we might need to make, as well as anything else that might come up.

If this is something that you have any interest in, please drop me a line. Thank you.
