I wonder if sometimes people have multiple weaknesses which cancel each other out. Let's say you have ambition, but a lack of focus, so who's to know? Or what about you enjoy sending sarcastic emails, but your grammar prevents anyone from seeing the irony you intend?

In all seriousness, weakness is the normal state of mankind, and it's only when a person manages to overcome many weaknesses that the few that remain become noticed. An unemployed, homeless man with poor math skills will draw little attention for his lack. A bad temper is only feared when coupled with the power to use it.

I forget who said it, but somewhere I read that the greater the man, the more harm his vice will inflict. Something to consider when aspiring to be a great man - vices which would be harmless and indeed barely noticeable in others would be deadly in you.
