President George H. W. Bush was a very good president and an even better man whose achievements during the collapse of the Soviet empire were so deftly accomplished that he didn't get the credit he richly deserved. Many of them could not be touted lest their effectiveness be harmed.
May he rest in peace. History will treat him well.
