Uncertainty. It’s probably why I got married at 21 years of age. I didn’t know how to select someone to marry. It not only measures steps (goal 10,000/day but 20,000 in a good day) but it measures flights of stairs (goal 20 flights but 50 in a good one). Electronic data processing, or EDP, rose to prominence in 1950s American business as a way to automate simple and regular tasks that involved large amounts of data.
