Leaders Win When…

What should a leader consider a win? I’ve contemplated this quite a bit lately. You’ve probably seen me write articles about what success truly means, what a leader’s responsibility is, and more.

All of these are related to leadership wins. Leadership wins are when a leader has something good happen and they were a part of it.

We all need to consider what we consider a win.

You may think a win will look different leader to leader but wins don’t vary too far from one leader to another. Wins are typically the same regardless of the leader and their organization. It’s the way we define or explain the win that differs.

Leaders Win When…

So, what wins should leaders be seeking? Leaders win when:

Leaders win when they have a healthy home life.

Leaders when win they are able to clearly communicate their vision for the organization.

Leaders win when they help other people become leaders.

Leaders win when they choose the right things.

Leaders win when they consider others before themselves.

Leaders win when they find ways to make their team members’ lives better.

Leaders win when they stay physically active.

Leaders win when they onboard the right people into the right seats.

Leaders win when they fight for what is right.

Leaders win when they make the hard decisions.

Leaders win when they serve other people.

Leaders win when they continue to grow and learn about leadership.

Leaders win when they reflect on their past.

Leaders win when they see a positive future.

Leaders win when they find new and better ways to get the job done.

Leaders win when they stay true to their beliefs.

Leaders win when they recognize their team members for their accomplishments.

Leaders win when they see everyone has value.

Leaders win when they volunteer for charitable organizations.

Leaders win when they help get their team excited about the mission of their organization.

Leaders win when they find a new job for a team member that doesn’t fit with the organization’s culture.

Leaders win when they encourage team members to explore their interests.

Leaders win when they leave a positive legacy.

Leaders win when they treat people well.

Leaders win when they make powerful connections.

Leaders win when they figure out what they were created to do.

Leaders win when they fight for their team members.

Leaders win when they are grateful.
