2 Teambuilding Activities to Use at Your Conference to Boost Interaction and Impact

We remember what we experience!

And when you are planning a conference, as important as the content of your chosen speakers will be, Conferences are about CONNECTIONS!

As an event professional, these three goals are important to keep in mind when you are hiring speakers and putting together your conference agenda:

1-Connecting people to new ideas to change awareness…

2-Connecting people with purpose to improve engagement…

3-Connecting people with each other to improve collaboration…

So, in addition to the meals and breaks and snacks and goodie bags that your attendees will enjoy, what are you doing to be sure that they are ENGAGED as active and connected participants?

As a teambuilding speaker, that is where I can share two teambuilding activities to use at your conference to boost interaction and impact – because people remember experiences!

Part of the value in my entertaining keynote programs is the interactive nature of the content – experiences are how we learn and remember things.  The relevant and fun activities that are part of my customized message are a valuable way to ensure the connections that your audience wants are actually created.

Activity ONE:

8:00 conversation cards activity

Only eight minutes total!

You will need enough Conversation Cards to be sure that all participants have one each, then use this time template:

1:00 – introduction to activity and directions

3:00 – first partner question and responses

3:00 – second partner question and responses

1:00 – review and application of ASSC insight

Activity TWO:

 6:00 teambuilding partner quizzes

Only six minutes total!

You need NO PROPS –  just use this time template:

30 seconds – introduction to activity and directions

30 seconds – first partner asks, “what is your company / team mission?”

30 seconds – second partner asks, “what is your company / team mission?”

30 seconds – discuss significance of your WHY connection as a team…

90 seconds – first partner asks, “what is the most difficult challenge two of your teammates have lived through?”

90 seconds – second partner asks, “what is the most difficult challenge two of your teammates have lived through?”

60 seconds – review significance of your WHO connection and apply insights

Either (or both) of the activities can be used in most any conference setting, as they focus on the connections that are so vital to making the event a success:

Connecting people to new ideas to change awareness…

Connecting people with purpose to improve engagement…

Connecting people with each other to improve collaboration…

If you are interested in ways to boost interaction and impact at YOUR next conference, I’d love to discuss how I can help you make it a memorable and valuable experience for your people.

Teambuilding is an ongoing process of connecting people to their compelling common goal AND to the people that they are working with to accomplish it.

Help them to build TRUST and relationships with others.

Help to remind them of their PURPOSE.

Rather than only presenting your audience with information and data, I hope you will consider the importance of planning and presenting a conference that will inspire and emphasize the connections that audiences crave!
