Three Really Good Movies - And a Bonus...

Most of the films that show in theaters aren't the kind I'd pay money to see. It's as if many of the best movies don't show in a lot of theaters and quickly go to DVD. Three examples, and if you love movies, I recommend all three...

The Upside of Anger (2005) Joan Allen and Kevin Costner

Copying Beethoven (2006) Ed Harris and Diane Kruger

A Good Year (2006) Russell Crowe and Albert Finney

Ed Harris gives an amazing, Oscar-worthy performance in Copying Beethoven, an unusual movie that few people have heard of. Thank goodness for Netflix!

And the BONUS... The music that accompanied the credits after The Upside of Anger resonated with me. A folk song called "One Safe Place," written and performed by Marc Cohn. I found it on YouTube...

The song makes me think of why I do all the things I do. To find and live my life in "one safe place," where I know that people love me and that I'm out of harm's way, surrounded by the natural world. Where I can follow my passion with friends I care about.

Did you like it?

I love the lyrics and music of this song, and the photos that accompanied this video was amazing. Touched deep in my spirit. Thanks for sharing the movie recs, too!
