It not only measures steps (goal 10,000/day but 20,000 in a good day) but it measures flights of stairs (goal 20 flights but 50 in a good one). The same principle works for any goal. So tracking helps get me to the goal. This makes for success. I love my Fitbit. Partly because it tracks what gets done.

One brain book is " The Winner's Brain: Eight Strategies Great Minds Use to Achieve Success " by Jeff Brown, Mark Fenske and Liz Neporent. I definitely see a connection between that and success. I spend a lot of time on goal setting and goals only work with good motivation. This one has always been a focus for me.

The first imperative - EQ. I also believe in AQ (ability to deal with adversity). The Second is Ability to Inspire. In my mind these tie together.

But for now, another book review: I read Scott Elbin's " The Next Level - What Insiders Know About Executive Success ". The book suggests using the GROW method to solve problems: Goal Reality Options Whats Next At the end of each chapter was a list of 10 tips. There is a good appendix on creating your ESP - Executive Success Plan.
