Working at the Roots

Entire industries exist to treat symptoms, convincing people that they are at least "doing something" about their problems. This succinct parable is so simple and so obvious that we think it could never happen to us. Of course we should turn off the source of the water. Who wouldn't?

Kettering Award - Thank You

The program was attractive to a kid like me without any finances because it offered a co-op experience in which every other twelve weeks were spent in the workplace somewhere out in actual industry. In those days there were still car plants all over the Flint area, so this arrangement worked out great.
