The leader needs a routine, perhaps a schedule to check social feeds, a social monitoring suite or training program. For the leader, this is the role of a social media mentor. The addict’s sponsor and leader’s mentor may not be around as frequently. What is needed here are examples, tools and techniques. Support is key.

Lastly, Servant Leadership involves a mentoring process to improve not only performance, but also the individual team member under the leaders mentorship. Coach Tony Dungy calls it “Mentor Leadership” and I think this is another way of looking at it. My spouse tells me I need to call it something else.
