So, we know that people operate best when they are operating out of their strengths. Do we make them think they can only serve God, or operate in ministry if they can serve (greet, cut grass, etc.), We have people in the church from every strength. There are people in our congregations who have natural strengths.

Permission is from those who follow, but for me they have also been by way of a lid-lifter – someone who can help me lift my own lids and societal lids to operate in the giftings I have. I know that I have always waited for permission to lead. The leadership that is needed is one of facilitation and vision.

Our job is to continually learn more about people, about leadership, about God’s work in our everyday lives. Choose trust over fear. Every day, we have a choice. God doesn’t control us.
