A friend of mine once suggested that I read The Oregon Trail by Francis Parkman. I purchased a paperback copy in a used bookstore and placed it on a shelf. The book remained there for years.
Last night, troubled with a bum knee and already swamped with management books, I picked it up and was quickly transfixed. Don't make my mistake of delaying the pleasure. The title does not begin to convey its charm.
