Time Traveling: High Tech and Museums

Andrea Petersen at The Wall Street Journal notes how history museums are going techie in order to attract smartphone addicts. An excerpt:

At 301-acre Colonial Williamsburg, about 400 people each day in the summer play RevQuest, moving among the site's 88 original 18th century buildings and other structures. "Questors" gather clues and interact with some of the site's 596 costumed "interpreters" to solve a riddle that will help save the American Revolution. Average total daily attendance in summer is 3,500 to 4,000.
