"Tastes like wild hickory nuts to me."

CoolTools looks at the classic guide to wild foods. Many of you will no doubt remember the author.

I spent many an enjoyable spring and summer day hunting some plant from that book and many a winter one soaking up the joy with which Gibbons wrote. My book is still with me, notes in the margins, splotches from pressed flowers on the pages, my childhood name on the flyleaf. Thanks for the smile, Michael.

Kathy,

Thank you for the great description. All authors should be so honored. Mr. Gibbons would smile.
