This is a timely post also in light of the recent Charles Rangel ethics violations. I would add to your suggestion that these new leaders place ethics at the top of the their list of values. Reading that the House panel found it "wrenching" to recommend censure of Rangel is disheartening to the many people who place their trust in these representatives every day--I find it wrenching that he does not face expulsion. You cannot be a good leader without generating trust and, more important, being worthy of that trust.
