Scott, thanks for a though-provoking piece. My process asks 4 questions
what will happen if I do?
what will happen if I don't?
what won't happen if I do?
what won't happen if I don't? Sounds simple but to get clarity around the decision, all possibilities both professional and personal need to be included.

Simple yet elegant. Thanks Camille!

G'Day Scott,
I work with owners and managers in small-medium business .My specialist field is improving onjob employee performance without training courses.

Your post really struck a chord with me. Lots of the people I work with are trying to juggle more balls than an octopus in a circus.

They are so anxious to "solve the problem" that
their decision processes end up resembling an octopus.

Do I have your permission to mention the process you described on my blog and refer people to you for more information?

If it's not OK, that's fine.

Thanks for a most useful post.

Regards

Leon
