2021 Christmas Lectures Part 2 – Why We Should Welcome Refugees Into Our Communities

With the Great Resignation a feature of the working environment during 2021, I wanted to use this series of lectures to explore some of the often untapped pools of talent identified by Harvard research this year.

In the first lecture, I made the case for people with a criminal record with a lecture from UC Berkeley explaining some of the challenges involved in finding work when you have a record, and some of the advantages of hiring from this pool.

With the dire situation in Afghanistan so fresh in the global consciousness, the second lecture explores the value that comes when we welcome refugees into our communities.  It’s a topic I’ve touched on numerous times on this blog, so I hope you enjoy.
