Hard right over the easy wrong.

You know what is hard?  Success is.  It can be hard for many different reasons.  But each of those reasons are probably glaringly obvious and yet you may overlook the root cause that eludes you.

Come on out.

We are creatures of habit.  We do what is comfortable and familiar.  When you start to push your boundaries you will feel uncomfortable like a small forest animal hesitant to emerge from it’s lair.  You have good reason to be hesitant.  You have no idea what is out there or what could happen to you.  That’s the wrong focus.  That keeps you stuck inside your comfortable little hole.

What if you put yourself out there?  What if you work really hard and offer your service or you provide your product to someone?  What if they like?  What if they tell their friends about you?

Focus on the positive.  When you feel uncomfortable about a move, I’d say it’s because you are risking success.  It’s the other half of the glass-half-empty question.  Of course you are risking failure too but you ensure failure if you just sit and don’t step out into the light of the wild forest and take your first step.

Put yourself out there and see what happens.

I had a pair of Flip Flops that had the words “Get Out There!” engraved in the soles. Everywhere I stepped, I left those words in my tracks. Those words were left in the sand, dirt and sidewalks on more than one continent and multiple coastlines! A great reminder to enjoy getting “out there”.

Find something that motivates you to Go Do It. You won’t be sorry!

I wore them out. Need a new pair!:)

    Chris,

I’ve found that it’s easy to connect with people if you put yourself out there.

It’s really hard if you don’t.

I hope other people follow in your footsteps.

    Matt
