How to Blog on Linkedin

2 - No advertorial. My rules for posting on Linkedin: 1 - Be professional. Linkedin is for professional connections, so this is not a place for grandkid photos. It is a place for business. I know I am irritated if a post purports to give me value then moves on to "buy my product". Anything promotional has to be very soft.

My answer: Random thoughts: 1 - Persistence works but you need to keep pinging people. Send FB, Twitter and Linkedin updates. And add in the odd email and call and it is long term persistence.

Social Media is Broken.

Add value to the reader then you can be advertorial. Without a following, the best content does not get read. I think social media needs to be at least 80% for the value of the reader. Even then, you often do not need to be overt about it. It ties to an article I wrote a few years ago on the fallacy of ROI in marketing.
