Even the most savvy CEO may have blind spots in his or her skill sets, core competencies, or voids in the org chart which can also cause blind spots. All business (for profit or not) provide goods, services, or intellectual property/capital to a market (or markets) for some form of consideration.

The whole point is to treat them as “human beings&# , not just as “human resources&#. The words we use in the workplace make it difficult to be, and treat others as, human. These include “human resources&# , “human capital&# , and “talent management&#.

This might mean you need to contact Human Resources or your EAP. In my experience, at one point in my leadership career, some colleagues have labeled me as the ‘terminator’ jokingly. You must deeply listen for understanding and value. There may be a spark of truth in their side of things.

Sad, but true; much of my life and career I have attempted to achieve perfection in everything I do. She was so broken; the issue became a mess, taken all the way to human resources and finally resolved without hurting anybody. It definitely has not enabled me to find a great job/career path as fast as I had hoped.
