In the hit HBO/BBC drama Industry , aside from the general debauchery of the characters, one thing that’s noticeable is the upper-class backgrounds of the leads. Only Harry heralds from a working-class background, and he visibly struggles to fit in in a world in which the rest of the cast seems to know precisely how to speak and act.

We need CEOs who want others to do better and be better. What we don’t need is more CEOs who hide in safe harbors. You can spot a struggling (and potentially failing) CEO a mile off by simply looking at the types of decisions they make. CEOs whose default setting is to “play it safe” do not impress me.
