The Seventh Sense, and, Small Data – Our Selections for the August 5 First Friday Book Synopsis

Another month, two more books worthy of our attention.

For the August 5 First Friday Book Synopsis, I will present my synopsis of the provocative book The Seventh Sense: Power, Fortune, and Survival in the Age of Networks by Joshua Cooper Ramo. Mr. Ramo, a Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute, served formerly as foreign editor for Time, and is a forward-looking thinker. I think you will find this book worthy of your time.

Here’s a notable comment recommending this book:

“The next president needs to read The Seventh Sense, starting on the morning of November 9th. Joshua Ramo’s latest book is a fascinating guide to the way the world is changing.” Malcolm Gladwell, author of David and Goliath

Karl Krayer will present his synopsis of Small Data: The Tiny Clues That Uncover Huge Trends by Martin Lindstrom, Foreword by Chip Heath, a book that takes a look at small data, and its great value, in this big data era…

Two interesting books for August!

Here’s the flier with all the details. Mark your calendar, and plan to be with us on August 5. (You will be able to register soon from this web site).
