The first step in achieving the vision of a decentralized, citizen-focused police service. Field operations are decentralized into four areas of the city – central, south, east, north and west. The chief continues to stress teamwork, Quality Leadership, and use of improvement methods in order to continue the process of transformation. The chief begins check-ins with detectives regarding decentralization and how their work can be improved.
