Announcing my second e-book: 30 Books in 30 Days: Great Lessons from the Best Business Books of the Last 15 Years by Randy Mayeux.
When we finished the first fifteen years of the First Friday Book Synopsis, I wrote a blog post a day for 30 straight days. I chose two books to highlight from each of the first fifteen years of our event. (We are now in our 18th year).
Here are just some of the books highlighted:
The Tipping Point; Nickel and Dimed; Moneyball; Blue Ocean Strategy; The World is Flat; Outliers; The Checklist Manifesto; Steve Jobs; Quiet.
Each post was a quick look at the key concepts, the best insights, the most transferable lessons from these 30 books.
I’ve now put those posts into e-book form. The e-book format makes them readily accessible, all in one place; easy to read.
I spent years writing for a daily devotional publication in my denomination, and read through a number of daily devotional books. I’m a big fan of the format – a short reading, to focus your heart and your thinking, for the day. You might view this as a parallel — daily readings for the business professional.
You can read the chapters in order, or just skip around.
Check it out. It might be a great way to get an overview of key insights from some of the best business books; and it might help you add the books you most need to your own reading stack.
