Contagious by Jonah Berger; Loyalty 3.0 (Big Data+Gamification) by Rajat Paharia – Selected for the August 2 First Friday Book Synopsis

We had a wonderful session this morning at the July First Friday Book Synopsis.  (Yes, we were a week late, due to the July 4 holiday weekend).  I always appreciate the books I read and present, but I especially enjoyed reading Eleven Rings by Phil Jackson, which I presented this morning.  I will post more from this book on the blog soon, and my synopsis will be available soon on our companion site, 15minutebusinessbooks.com.

Here are our two selections for our next session, the August 2 First Friday Book Synopsis.

Karl Krayer will present his synopsis of Loyalty 3.0: How to Revolutionize Customer and Employee Engagement with Big Data and Gamification by Rajat Paharia (McGraw-Hill, 2013).

I (Randy Mayeux) will present my synopsis of Contagious: Why Things Catch On by Jonah Berger.  (Simon & Schuster, 2013).

In addition, Karl Krayer will present a “bonus synopsis,” (immediately after our regular session) of Fire in the Ashes by Jonathan Kozol.  Mr. Kozol is a genuine national treasure, having immersed himself into, and written about, education for decades.  He especially understands the needs of students in our poorest school districts.

This bonus program will benefit Take Time to Read  (connected to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children).

Mark your calendar now for our August 2 session.
