Getting results from social media as a PR tool
Hi all
there has been a lot of talk about social media, is it worth the time? What is the point? Does it really drive business?A little (short) personal story
I have been blogging and tweeting for some time – and it does get me work. In recent days however web traffic to my site has spiked – its usually at 4000+ unique visitiors – so its no slouch… but its gone up over 20%Why the change?
The only thing I can put it down to is some recent. organic PR. In the US there is a social media commentator Evan Carmichael. he runs a well respected business site www.evancarmichael.com with some great bloggers that feature. - Professional Service companies grow faster with on-line marketing
Professional Service companies grow faster with on-line marketing
This has some interesting points to think about. the data about speed of growth and greater profit rations is interesting (wish I knew the source data)
The increased spending makes some sense – for at a smaller end its easy top spent $100 here and $100 there when traditionally many businesses would not “invest” in marketing at all.
It seems its getting harder and harder to ignore the facts

Why are Women taking over Leadership & Business?
Women are said to be more:
- Assertive
- Influential
- Risk takers
- Completer-finishers
What do you think?
Are we realising the diversity we have and using people for their natural strengths – or the role they managed to “fall” into?

*****Please forgive my indulgence – I’m doing this as a one off to compare marketplace SEO with blogs – I have an identical post in marketplace & want to compare performance*****
400+ slides/ models for less than $50 USD for you to brand & use
Management models and theories shape the way we think, manage and run our organizations. This page lists some of those management models found to be of value by the team at RapidBI.
Management models are not in themselves a solution, but a tool to help develop understanding or a common language. Remember these are only tools, an over simplification of a view of reality in a given context. Tools come and go like fashion.
