Here’s a Way to “Catch Up” on Those Business Books you May have Missed

Some books just stay around on the best-seller lists.  Steve Jobs, The Power of Habit, Outliers, Blink, Thinking Fast and Slow… Some of these came out quite some time ago — some even, a few years ago.  They just stay on the lists, or reappear, month after month.  They are that good, that important, that useful.

My colleague Karl Krayer says that some folks buy these books, put them on their shelves or desks to communicate “Look, yes, I am current, I’ve worked through/am working through this book.”  But, maybe you have not actually read these books.  Or, it’s been a while, and you have forgotten what you read.  You need a quick look, or a refresher.

We have a solution.

Now, of course, it would be better if you read them for yourself, slowly, with time to ponder…  But we have presented these, and many other books, at our public breakfast event, the First Friday Book Synopsis.  And we record our presentations (audio only), and then make the recordings available for purchase, along with the accompanying comprehensive handouts.  These handouts include the key thoughts from the book, along with representative and enlightening quotes taken directly from the books.

Here’s a representative list.  So, which of these have you missed?

Steve Jobs
Abundance
The Power of Habit
Thinking Fast and Slow
Blink
Outliers
What Matters Now
Reverse Innovation
The Rare Find
Great by Choice
The Shallows
Knowing Your Value
The Thank you Economy

The list is long, and grows by at least 2 new titles every month.  We’ve already uploaded our latest synopses from the August First Friday Book SynopsisThe Goal:  A Process of Ongoing Improvement, the business book classic by Eliyahu M. Goldratt and Jeff Cox, and Platform: Get Noticed in a Noisy World  by Michael Hyatt.

Click here to visit our web site, 15minutebusinessbooks.com.  (Click on the catalogue tab, and browse, or search by title or author).  Give one of our downloads a try.  You can buy our synopses individually, or we offer a subscription price with unlimited access.

Each purchase gets you the audio + the comprehensive handout.  You can listen as you drive, or jog… or, you can listen at your desk, with the handout in front of you, to follow along.  (This is the best way).  Or, of course, you can simply read the handout by itself.

So many books, so little time.  We can help.
