TED Talks; Lencioni’s The Ideal Team Player – Coming for the September 2, 2016 First Friday Book Synopsis

There are twelve months in a year. That means Karl Krayer and I have to come up with 24 books a year to present at the First Friday Book Synopsis. And, so far this year, there have been a lot of books worthy of selection. (See my mid-year report blog post: 2016, It is a Very Good Year – A Mid-Year Reflection on Business Books I’ve Read (and Presented).

This morning at the August 5 First Friday Book Synopsis, I presented my synopsis of The Seventh Sense: Power, Fortune, and Survival in the Age of Networks by Joshua Cooper Ramo. I will have a post up soon with my lessons and takeaways. What an important book for this ever-more-hyper-connected era!

Next month, for the September 2 First Friday Book Synopsis, we have selected two more terrific books. Karl Krayer will present his synopsis of the new book by Patrick Lencioni, The Ideal Team Player: How to Recognize and Cultivate The Three Essential Virtues by Patrick Lencioni. Mr. Lencioni is the author of the enduring best-seller, The Five Dysfunctions of a Team. This will be a synopsis to look forward to!

And, my selection is the book by Chris Andersion, the man who leads TED: TED Talks: The Official TED Guide to Public Speaking. There is little doubt that Mr. Anderson knows plenty about effective communication!

I’m confident that our synopses of both of these books will be worth your time. Mark it in your calendar, and plan to join us on September 2. (You will be able to register soon from this web site).

And, all of our synopses are available at our companion web site, 15minutebusinessbooks.com. Our synopses include our comprehensive multi-page handouts, and the audio recording of our presentations.

Here’s the flier with all the details for our September 2 session.
