Here’s an example of a servant leader that brings the force of connection to life. Servant leaders such as Admiral Clark outperform other leaders because they move people to “surrender the me for the we” and it is nearly always the case that we accomplish more when we are pulling together than when we are drifting apart.

Some end up in correctional institutions while others end up in leadership positions where they create dog-eat-dog cultures or cultures that are indifferent to human beings (this is opposed to Servant Leaders who create “Connection Cultures”).

The author was poking holes in the notion that work is the end-all, be-all in life; pretty radical stuff in a culture known for its strict work ethic. However, it’s important to uncover the motivation behind that thinking. In April 2021, a Tik-Tok post from a worker in China started going viral. In English we’d commonly say, “lay low.”
