2020 Christmas Lectures Part 3 – A Human Workplace

The final lecture I’m presenting to you over the festive period covers the desire to make our work, and our workplaces, more humane places to be.  This has been a mission of London Business School’s Gary Hamel for pretty much his entire career, but it’s perhaps fair to say that the pandemic has really shone a light on the need to not only provide great workplaces that support people when they’re at work, but also that support people in their entire lives.

Here he discusses his latest book Humanocracy, which he wrote with his long-term associate Michele Zanini.

It’s probably fair to say that 2020 has been one of the most remarkable in recent years. I hope that you have managed to avoid any personal tragedies, and that these lectures provide a degree of hope that 2021 and the years beyond can be better. Thank you for reading my work here over the last year (or more). I’d like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a very successful and healthy new year.
