2020 Christmas Lectures Part 2 – A Sustainable Future

The broad theme of the Christmas lectures this year is the post-COVID world.  There’s a general consensus that we should strive to make the world a greener and more sustainable place after COVID, with the European Commission proposing a European Green Deal to enable the continent to “live up to the challenges we are all facing”.

Central to this will be for companies and other organizations to do their bit, and Rotman’s Sarah Kaplan argues for what she refers to as The 360° Corporation that is able to go beyond superficial greenwashing and can instead find win-win outcomes that are able to boost the financial returns for the business while also creating a sustainable approach that pleases a variety of increasingly interested and mobilized stakeholders.
