In a recent article , I wrote about research showing that support for populists rose in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis. They monitored the response to this change around the election of 2006, which was also when the policy was introduced. This was especially so in areas that had a larger immigrant population.

Anyone paying attention to current events has recently witnessed that it doesn’t really matter whether you’re a politician, investment banker, CEO, or just an average citizen, when it comes to making a simple decision, managing a crisis, or attempting to exploit an opportunity, timing is everything.
