By 1983, there was certainly awareness and interest in developing leaders, but comparatively few organizations were ready to dive in, make it a priority and commit serious resources to the cause. In the fall of 1983, Tom Peters and Bob Waterman published “ In Search of Excellence.” In 2011, PI and CLS formed a strategic partnership.
