Trust me when I tell you that being out of touch is never a good position to find yourself in as the CEO. I think you’ll find that your view of the world will change dramatically when you rely upon your own observations, as opposed to what you read in a management report, or what you hear third or fourth hand in a meeting.

I only care that they are totally committed to making a positive contribution to the organization. Anyone who has ever been in a leadership position has had to deal with the inevitable tough relationship that causes more than its fair share of brain damage.
