It was an amusing game at a leadership retreat, especially after a few adult beverages. The instructions were simply describe leadership as a highway sign and tell why. What should be the nature and practice of leadership in order for it to be effectively practiced? But the one that stumped us all was Speed Limit 24 MPH.

Do Leadership Books Really Help Advance Your Life and Career? There's a sea of poor advice to wade through looking for those leadership pearls of wisdom , especially with the popularity of blogging and the ease of self-publishing. Leadership books aren't a magic cure-all that turns you into a great leader overnight.

A fantastic case for a better management perspective, mainly that little things like progress can affect big things like profitability. Perhaps the most under-rated book on evidence-based management. The title is easy to forget but the content inside is not. Great by Choice by Jim Collins and Morten Hansen.
