The situations I asked about were operations, finance, staffing, marketing, strategy, town hall meetings, one on ones etc. I had worked with one of the best leadership training guru I know and the guy who helped developed the Wilson Learning Styles Model and Covey’s 360 to come up with an assessment model based on my research.

The politician makes promises and is motivated by pride, ego, notoriety and personal success. The statesman keeps commitments, is motivated by service above and beyond self, and by making a lasting difference. The typical politician spews tired rhetoric while lining their pockets, and has little hope for becoming significant.

As it was explained to me I tried tokeep track of the winding trail of what had happened, looking for motive andthings to correct. I said aquick prayer and did my best to "seek first to understand," asrecommended by Steven Covey. Obviously,this was a moment for the wisdom and strength of Dad.

I really appreciate Stephen Covey’s exercise in his book, “7 Habits of Highly Effective People” Covey tells his readers to start with the end in mind. Few things in life are as motivating as being told you're not good enough. A game changer for me was when I took an intentional inventory of my life.

They use the information acquired through reading in order to inspire, motivate, and lead those around them. For those who read less, one strong motivator is to apply more of the ideas into innovative action plans for that day.
