One of my favorite things to say in an idea-generation meeting is, “ Let’s invent now. Apparently, it takes time for innovation to ultimately find it’s true destination. Hopefully you get the idea. We should not be afraid of small doses of innovation. We often need a fresh dose of innovation.

Of course, there were some great books such as those by Morton Hansen, Amy Edmondson, and Ron Ricci. Gathering information and different perspectives may actually inhibit innovation. Therefore, collaboration involving lots of idea generation from multiple sources does not work for many projects.
