Heineken CEO Dolf van den Brink, Unilever CEOs Hein Schumacher (June) and Alan Jope (prior), Philip Morris CEO Jacek Olczak, Mondelez CEO Dirk Van de Put, and Nestle CEO Ulf Mark Schneider have all demonstrated a lack of ethical behavior. These leaders have not delivered on that promise. Heineken owns and operate 7 breweries in Russia.

We may be snowed by the public relations machine that “markets” a poor leader. Complacency has it’s price, up to and including some morally and ethically reprehensible leaders who have been elected to public office. I think it’s even tougher to consider if we might be responsible for bad leaders in our organizations.
