VC can often: 1 - Provide more money and more follow on rounds of financing. 3 - Provide more mature views on business, exits, growth etc.

The more partners, sympathizers, champions, allies, supporters, enablers, influencers, advisers, mentors, friends, and family you have helping you succeed, the faster you will achieve your goals. For sometime now believing in the power of mentor-ship.

Sure, in some cases I coach and mentor, but most of my clients simply view me as their closest personal advisor. I don’t really care whether the client is aided by mentoring, teaching, coaching, consulting or a mix of all the above – I just care that they receive real results. It’s just that simple.
