See it Do it - Time Management System

CEO Blog

I recently lead a Time Management seminar loosely based on my Time Management book. One of the best ways to learn is to teach and preparing for the seminar reminded me of many of the systems I need to re-incorporate into my life. When I asked what people got from it. One point people liked was See it - Do it. Hardly needs explaining.

World Innovation Forum - The Pressure to be Insightful

CEO Blog

I consider going to a seminar day like today as a "long term" use of time. At the same time, there is high pressure to be insightful in Tweets (#wif2013) and Blogs. And there will be lots of blog posts today. I spend some of my time on short term issues and some on longer term. It inspires me.

Perfectionism Hurts Productivity

CEO Blog

7 - attend seminars 8 - sign up for time management blogs and newsletters. Pick up a few tips. 6 - repeating over and over that "I am not a good time manager" simply reinforces it in your mind. Little Book of Leadership Development Review

CEO Blog

When I lead seminar, my goal is to have people come away with 2-3 things they can incorporate in their lives. Like the title that says exactly what the book is about, each chapter does the same thing. In one or two pages a leadership concept is presented and expanded on. I like that there are 50 ideas to choose from.
