In Italy, as in the rest of Europe, the up-market restaurant business is a tough one. According to the 2010 Michelin Guide, there are 229 one-star, 37 two-star, and as many as six three-star restaurants in Italy. That's not just my opinion; D'O got a star from Michelin in 2007 and has managed to retain it every year since then.
